Provide near-complete wireless network coverage within all academic and administrative buildings on campus.
Over the past several years, use of the wireless network on campus has increased dramatically. To meet the increased demand and the expectations of the campus community, the Office of Information Technologies (OIT) is starting a new phase of its wireless installation project.
During the first phase, OIT focused on wireless network connectivity in academic classrooms and highly-utilized gathering spaces such as the Learning Commons. The focus of this new phase is on providing near-complete wireless network coverage within all academic and administrative buildings on campus.
These new wireless network installations are being performed on a building-by-building basis.
