Virtual Private Networking (VPN) with Wireless

Virtual Private Networking (VPN) client software creates a secure connection between your computer and the UMass network. VPN clients encrypt all data passed between your computer and destinations within UMass, making it very difficult for data to be intercepted and read. This software is particularly useful when used with a wireless connection, where data is sent "through the air". Use of VPN clients while on the UMass wireless network is optional.
