UMail on the Web
UMail on the Web is the best way to access your email remotely, when you're away from campus or your office. Using any computer with an Internet connection, you can access and organize your email just as you would from your personal computer with email software such as Outlook Express or Netscape Messenger. UMail on the Web stores your read and unread email for as long as you have an OIT Account and you do not exceed your quota.
Having trouble composing or replying to emails? This may be because you have a pop-up blocker activated in your browser. Windows XP Service Pack 2 includes updates to Internet Explorer which may affect how your browser handles pop-up windows, including the Compose window in Umail on the Web. To fix the problem, see About Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Note: When logging in to UMail on the Web from the OIT Web site [http://www.oit.umass.edu], the bottom Mailbox Menu will not be displayed. To see this menu and have direct access to your Address Book, you must log in to UMail on the Web using [http://umail.oit.umass.edu].
