Introduction to QuikPAY

QuikPAY is an e-billing and payment system that allows you to manage your University bill online.

Use QuikPAY to view your University charges, print a PDF copy of your bill, and make a secure online payment. QuikPAY also enables you to set up ‘authorized payers’ (one or more individuals who can view your bill and make a payment on your behalf).

Access QuikPAY via SPIRE

• Log on to SPIRE at https://spire.umass.edu.
• On your Student Center, under Finances, click View/Pay bill. Your QuikPAY home page will open in a new browser window. Make sure your browser’s pop-up blocker is disabled or QuikPAY will not open.
  Note: QuikPAY recommends Internet Explorer 5.x (or higher), or Netscape Navigator 6.x (or higher) for Windows and Macintosh.

Your University Bill Goes Paperless

As the Bursar’s Office moves towards more convenient and cost-effective billing options, electronic bills will replace the current paper statements in the next academic years. Initially, your bill will be available online, via QuikPAY, and on paper (look for it in the mail).

QuikPAY offers secure and flexible access to your Bursar account, additional payment methods, and the option to add 'authorized payers':

Secure, 24-hour Access

With QuikPAY, you have 24-hour access to your University bill from any computer with an Internet connection. You’ll even receive an email notification at your UMail address when a new statement is ready.

QuikPAY meets the latest security and accessibility requirements. QuikPAY uses advanced security protocols (SSL, firewalls, intrusion detection), so your information is secure at all times. The QuikPAY Web site is also ADA (American Disabilities Act) - compliant, meaning that it meets the accessibility requirements for users with visual disabilities.

Faster Transactions, Two New Payment Options

With QuikPAY, you can pay your bill within minutes. Save time by creating a Payment Profile for each account you'll use in the future. No more paper, checks, or stamps. No more waiting in line to pay your bill.

To make a payment, use:

• Your checking or savings account to authorize an electronic transfer. You can only use QuikPAY if you are transferring funds from a U.S. bank. For payments from a non-U.S. bank account, you need to Use peerTransfer to Pay Your University Bill (PDF, 172k).

• Your credit or debit card. You can use any major credit or debit card, except VISA. A non-refundable service fee (2.75% of the total amount charged) applies to all credit/debit card transactions.

Remember, electronic transfers and credit or debit card charges are not available when paying in person or via mail.

Authorize Others to Make Payments on Your Behalf

Use QuikPAY to set up 'authorized payers', one or more individuals who can view your bill and make a payment in your name (e.g., your parents, guardian, or sponsor). QuikPAY gives you 24-hour access to editing or canceling your payers.

Your authorized payers use a separate URL to access QuikPAY and maintain independent profiles with their account and payment history. QuikPAY sends your payers their access details (login information, URL) to the email address that you provided for them during the setup process.
