Adobe Campus Agreement: No Cost Software for Faculty & Staff

UMass Amherst faculty, eligible staff, and GEO graduate students who are actively employed can obtain Adobe Creative Suite Design & Web Premium at no cost for their University-owned computers and one personally-owned computer. This three-year program was created through a contract between UMass Amherst/OIT and Adobe.

About the Program

  • Software is available for download from the Adobe Campus Agreement Web site. See below for instructions. 
  • Eligible members of the campus community can use the software available through this program on one personally-owned computer. Note: To install it on a new computer, you will first have to deactivate the software on the computer on which you last used the software.  If you have problems deactivating your software, contact Adobe Customer Support
  • Graduate student employees (e.g., teaching assistants, interns, and project assistants) who are actively employed members of the Graduate Employee Organization (GEO) can download Adobe Campus Agreement software for their personally-owned computers. 
  • This program does not extend to undergraduates, non-GEO graduate students, or staff members who are members of the ACFSME union. 
  • To comply with the terms of our license agreement, OIT is required to keep track of how many University-owned computer the software has been installed on. If you install this software on additional computers, please go to the Adobe Campus Agreement Web site, select My Product Keys, then enter the number of new installations. 
  • To purchase other versions of Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Production Premium) at a significant discount, use the Adobe Select Program.
  • If applicable, please consult with IT staff in your department before installing software on a work computer.
  • Your use of the software available through this program is subject to Adobe's End-User License Agreement (EULA)
    Note: According to this agreement, you are required to remove this software from your personal computer if you leave the University and from all University-owned and personal computers if the University does not renew its agreement with Adobe at the end of the contract period (November 30, 2013).

Adobe Creative Suite 6 Web & Design Premium includes the software below. Visit the the Adobe Web site for product descriptions and system requirements.

  • Acrobat X Professional*
  • Dreamweaver CS6
  • Fireworks CS6
  • Flash CS6 Professional
  • Illustrator CS6
  • InDesign CS6
  • Photoshop CS6 Extended

*You can also request Acrobat X Professional separately. 

How to Obtain & Install Software

Step 1: Choose Adobe Software 

Go to the Adobe Campus Agreement software page and log in with your OIT Account NetID password. Check the Adobe Web site for product descriptions and system requirements before you download. Under Adobe Creative Suite Web & Design Premium or Adobe Acrobat, choose Windows or Macintosh

Step 2: Choose Type of Software

Select the type of computer you will be installing the software on - University-owned  or Personally-owned. ?If you select University-owned Computer(s), enter the number of computers on which you are installing software. Click Next

Note: GEO graduate students can only download the version for personally-owned computers. 

Step 3: Get Product Key and Download 

Before you download and install Adobe Creative Suite, please make sure your computer meets the system requirements and read the Adobe Campus Agreement Enterprise User License Agreement. Select I agree to the terms listed above... and click Get Product Key & Download. The Product Code and installation instructions will be sent to your preferred email address listed in SPIRE. 

Note: If you are downloading the personally-owned version, you must confirm that you understand that you can only obtain this software for one operating system (i.e., Windows or Macintosh) and install it on one personal computer. Once you click  "Get Product Key & Download" button, you will not be able to download the software for another operating system.  

Step 4: Install Software 

  1. Find the .iso file on your computer, then burn the file to a writeable, dual layer DVD. See instructions for burning an .iso or .dmg file for a Windows or Macintosh computer. 
    -or-
    Use Virtual CloneDrive to mount the drive on a Windows computer. 
  2. On the DVD or virtual mount, click on the .exe (Windows) or .dmg (Macintosh) file.
  3. Follow the prompts to install the software on your computer.
  4. When prompted for the serial number, enter or copy and paste the Product Key that was sent to your preferred email address as listed in SPIRE.
