What user name and password should I use?
Use your NetID (OIT Account user name) and your UMail password to register your computer. Your UMAccess password is the one you use to dial-in to the UMass system or to access the network in OIT Computer Labs. It may or may not be the same as your UMail password.
If you have forgotten your password, please come to the OIT Accounts Desk (A107 LGRC) to have your password reset. Don't forget to bring your UCard! Regular hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Which University ID should I use?
You can use either your 8-digit or your 9-digit employee ID.
How do I get something other than the NetReg page to show up in my browser?
You must register your machine before you can access the campus network. Once you register your computer to NetReg, you will be able to use the Internet or other network services.
What if I do not agree with the Conditions of Use?
The NetReg Conditions of Use govern the acceptable usage of the UMass campus network. If you are unwilling to abide by the Conditions of Use, you will not be allowed to register your computer for use on the UMass campus network.
I have successfully registered, but I still cannot access off-campus network resources
If you have registered your computer and still cannot access the network, wait five minutes, reboot your computer, and try accessing the Web site of your choice one more time.
