Computer Maintenance & Repair Services

Service Description

The technical staff in our Hardware Support Department are able to repair Apple and Windows-based computers as well as printers. They are Authorized Warranty Service Providers for Dell and Apple, and can repair these computers under the terms of their warranties.

For service

Come to our location in the basement of the Lederle Graduate Research Center (Room A22), open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. University departments can also request pick-up and delivery service. Call 413-545-2036 or email hardware@oit.umass.edu to schedule a pick up time. Please have your departmental speed type number available when you call.

Note: Driver pick-up service is available only during Fall or Spring semesters. It is not available over the summer or winter breaks.

Fees

With a valid UMass ID

Walk-ins:
$50 diagnostics for first hour of work
$50 per hour flat rate per additional hour of work

With a valid Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mt. Holyoke College, or Smith College ID

Please visit the IT department at your college's campus before coming to OIT.

$65 diagnostics for first hour of work
$65 per hour flat rate per additional hour of work
