Computer Classrooms

Computer Classrooms are teaching spaces for instructors using computer technology in their coursework. All UMass Amherst students, faculty, and staff are welcome to use our Computer Classrooms when classes are not in session.

We operate 10 computer classrooms on campus and over 100 computers in the Learning Commons. Classroom hours may vary, especially at the beginning and end of each semester.

Highlights:
  • Access to an extensive collection of software. Instructors can request that specialized software be installed on classroom computers
  • Different configurations of classrooms to match a variety of teaching styles
  • Specialized classroom for courses that require audio and video editing tools and software
  • Night and weekend access to computers, software, and technology help in the Learning Commons
