Blogging software can be used to build a simple public course Web site that is much easier to maintain than a traditional Web site. Basic blog functions include: easy announcments, simple page posting (such as for a syllabus), comment collection, and the ability to pull in content from other sites (RSS). In this workshop we will walk you through the basic process of starting up and maintaining your own course blog.
Note: Blogs are created through an OIT NetID. We recommend that faculty request a special course account to use for course blogs instead of using their personal accounts.
Check the Workshop Schedule & Registration Form to see if this workshop is being offered in the near future.
If you can't make it to the scheduled workshops, we also offer one-on-one consulting through our Instructional Media Lab.
