Video & Audio Facilities
OIT Academic Computing manages several locations on campus where faculty and students can capture and edit audio and video. To access computers in these classrooms, you must log in with your NetID (OIT Account user name) and password.
Note: Students and faculty doing video and audio work in OIT facilities need to provide their own equipment to make recordings (e.g., cameras, microphones, etc.) and portable storage devices on which to store the, often sizable, associated with digital audio and video work.
OIT Computer Classrooms
- Computers in OIT Computer Classrooms, including the OIT-managed computers in the Learning Commons, are well-equipped to produce short clips of video or audio.
- All computers are compatible with cameras and recording devices that have Firewire or USB connectors.
- Hard drives on these computers are cleared after every login. Anyone doing work on these computers needs to provide their own digital storage device.
