Truly opened up my mind to unlimited possibilities...
I was able to increase my organizational, planning and management experience. I was able to further my writing and oral presentation skills. I enhanced my already very strong people skills and learned more about my capabilities. Problem solving was a big part of the project and I fell that I developed a lot in that area. I felt that I shined in using my creativity to create eye-catching and attractive promotional materials and displays. I gained in technological knowledge and vocabulary. I was able to network and build contacts. I learned the value of team work and was grateful to have worked with such an incredible team throughout the project. My skills that I enhanced, increased and built through this experience have given me a lot of confidence and the feeling that I will succeed in my professional future. The OIT internship program truly opened up my mind to unlimited possibilities. In effective public relations practice, the use of research, measurement, and evaluation are essential. I feel that with this project I was able to employ the tools of conducting public relations research, working with a team, writing research questions and designing real surveys. This internship was therefore valuable to my pursuit of a career in public relations because I had the opportunity to manage and promote my own project and learn to communicate my results effectively.
